I've had no problems...
The cheapest and reliable chip in the world.
Yep, love the magic 3.1
Easy to install - when you have done a few.....
Never had any after install issues.
Did discover bad interference, at one point - but after removing and re-installing STILL was there.
Problem was down to a freeview (digibox) box I had connected - bad RF interfering with the TV....
No problems with it it is cheap and it plays most games the only problem that I can see with it is that on version 7 ps2's you cant play deuce x maypayne and a few others but I dont care so much about those games so its ok with me
Anybody in US wanna install the Magic 3.1 for me? PM me with Prices
i thought you had magic 3.1. it is on your signature.
I have the magic 3.6 which works the same way as the magic 3.1 and I can say the chip is good. Sometimes it won't boot something the first try but it will always boot the game. It's a nice and reliable chip for a good price. But if u want a more reliable one try the messiah 2 or the DMS3 for a little more money.
I agree that the chip is pretty reliable and very cheap. We all know it has some issues but you get what you pay for right? The messiah 2 is the easiest to install for me because of the way they organized the points on the chip. All the DVD controller points are on one side and the bios points on another. And then the misc. points on another. Still the 3.1 is a good chip.
