Not sure where to post this, so here's my first try.

I own a Sony Bravia, model: 46EX720.
A lot of mkv files (and other formats) won't play.

My workaround up till now was to play it on my laptop & connect it via HDMI. Works fine.

I'm trying to play a 3d mkv file from my mac, through a DVI, to the LG LW5600 3d tv.

But when I hit the 3d enable on the tv, it only allows me to select 2d->3d, not the side by side option that is the file (it's greyed out).

I want to play from the mac as the file is larger the 4gb, and for whatever reason, I'm unable to spit it (I've tried a number of mkv splitters, but none are working).

I have a new LG TV and it natively doesn't support DTS, so video plays, but no audio ...

I wanted to know the best way to get around this with hardware (as re-encoding is taking a long time).
