Windows doesn't let me in with my new password though it sometimes almost lets me in with that or with some other one, like thinking whether it is correct but then rejects it.

I cannot remove the battery and blank password does not help. I could just "start a new life" by creating a new account but how that is being done?

The problem is, whenever I come back to that folder, it is in the details, instead of the icons. How can I get it to stay on medium icons?
I still want to be able to see thumbnails for my photos, but I want the medium icons for other things in the folder.
Can anyone tell me what I can do to fix this?

The start menu itself is gone. When I click on the windows icon to open the menu, nothing is there.
Instead, there are little lines in the upper left hand corner of the screen.

Also, the folders on the desktop have disappeared. (The recycle bin...documents, etc)

The screens as in my attachments will occasionally appear when i open my Firefox 61.0.2 browser and when i open Outlook 2010 email another Outlook help appears. Is there a way to stop this from appearing please?
