    Yeah device 0 stayed at DMA, in device 1 it is set to DMA but current transfer mode is set at 'not applicable'. I'm pretty sure DMA was on before...

    The dvd/cd drive is also listed in an unknown section in the device manager would it have to be uninstalled from there also before rebooting

    The dvd/cd drive is listed as master but not as slave as in your screenshot.
