I heard from a friend of mine that if you use cheats from a gameshark too much, it can do harm to your system? Is this true? Thanks.
i would just use cd-r's, they're alot cheaper
Try a variety of different brand of media.
I have backed up Final Fantasy X successfully. I burnt an image of it onto my hard drive using Nero 5. Then I burnt it onto a Memorex DVD-R.
Maybe the type of media you're using can only burn at 2x.
UPDATE: I solved the problem. I burnt the files into an image using Nero and then onto a DVD-R (also Nero) and it worked.

I also have the Sony DRU-510a but I've never had this problem. I've only tried using RecordNow Max and Nero 5 to burn.
Are DVD-R or DVD+R discs better for backing up movies? Is there really a big difference? Thanks in advance.
