    I might just put it on my new computer comming in, so i would not lose any thing important. any way why not have the new OS on a newer computer.

    I have the same problem, but I have the dvd version of MCE 2005. I can't get it to put the rest of media center on.

    I got a hold of a copy of Windows Media Center Edition 2005 (DVD Version). I installed it and gave me Windows XP Professional instead of Windows...
