Did you use a DVI/HDMI cable straight through or did you use any sort of conversion adapters?
Curiosity.... especially when this is something that I believe it should work and its not working.... I guess that just the person that I am...
Just wanted to update. I brought my PS3 over to my friend's house with his DVI only TV (Sony rear projection that is 6 months older than mine)....
I have the same problem as well. I tried the above steps and it didn't work. Maybe someone should try using a cable with hdmi on one end and dvi...
