    Hi there,

Sorry if I posted this message in the wrong place. I will appreciate any help from you guys. Here is my problem. I installed the Hauppauge WinTV 6 and every time I click on Preferences to scan the channels, I get these 2 messages:

Missing Dialog OCX, Audio tab will not be displayed

    and

Missing Dialog OCX, color tab will not be displayed

    Any idea?
Thanks a lot for your help.

With TV tuner cards, sometimes not all the drivers are installed. You might have to open the cd and browse to the version of windows you have. Next just click on the setup files and installed them manually.

I would also on the side recommend getting a different program to watch t.v

I currently use Sage TV which is absolutely fantastic. You can also try Dscaler which is free but does not look as sleek or have as many features.

It really does make a difference..

The only good use for WinTV6 is to play video games (there is a version that lets you turn off the delay). Other than that, there are many much better programs...even the media center built into Windows 7 is far superior in every way.

    Hi guys,
Thanks a lot for the efforts and I appreciate. Now the problem is the tuner. Cannot be installed and I have the correct drivers for Win XP. I downloaded the tuner for the BT878KHF (which is the tuner for my TV card), but cannot install it.

    Thanks for your help.

WinTV software is by far the worst TV software I've ever seen. I have the WinTV-Nova Stick and WinTV came bundled with it. Didn't work straight more than maybe 10-20 min before crashing.

I've been using ProgDVB with codecs from K-Lite Coded Pack, but I've had some problems with audio, goes out of sync in few minutes. Other than codec issues, It's quite stable and fine.

    Those in XP Pro 32-bit

Now I am (little by little) switching to Win7 (build 7100) and yesterday I set up the Media Center. And I gotta say Woah... It's sleek. But a bit akward to use with keyboard.... remote controller would be a lot better.
