USB stick problem with JVC car stereo

    I have a JVC KWXR411 car stereo. i have nearly 500 songs on it, all in WMA or MP3 format, but when i plug it it it only recognises 255 songs then goes back to track 1.
    Does anyone know why this is happening and how i can fix it?
    any help would be greatly appreciated

    It can only detect 255 folders but can display 5000 individual files,so how many folders are on there
