    Hi,

Don't know if i am posting this in the correct place, forgive me if i am not - need some help with duplicating a CITB skills dvd - Health,Safety and Environment test DVD.

I have the original DVD, bought etc, i am trying to make a back up copy and so far have created a number of "coasters" - all claim to have completed successfully but fail an authentication test before installation starts. I am presuming this application is embedded within the file structure of the dvd, but was hoping there was a work around. I don't believe this is a standard copyrite block as such , like on dvd movies, audio discs etc, this is something different.
I have tried Anydvd, clone and DVD43, but all produce the fails - has anybody come across this and can offer a solution?

Would appreciate any help/advise/work round etc

    Rob

Post the problem at the VideoHelp site.
See if they can suggest a fix.

Something like CGMS protection??? but I assumed that was for VHS analog stuff.

what i would do is put disc in tray, right click "open" on the tray that its in, it should bring ts and vob files up, copy and paste them files to pc, and use a programme like convert x to put it on disc, i could be wrong never had the format your trying but ive done loads of copies of health and safety clips for my work place as they only have one copy, PS i am a supervisor lol

Right you are Scorp! Try Dvdfab it has a 30 day trial or you can opt to use their free version. If you use the free version you will need to down load DVDshrink form this web site. That will package the files for a single layer (normal) DVD into a burable iso file. That ought to do the trick if not, post the exact error message. BYW, did you try running this from your computer? It is not likely but is still possible you are trying to read a burned disk in a reader that will not read burned disks. That will give you a no DVD disk has been loaded error.
