Microsoft to acquire GitHub

Microsoft about to acquire GitHub.
So, does that mean open source is now an endangered species?
...I don't like the smell of this, and where it's going.

OH MY DEAR GOD.....NO!!!!! The END TIMES!

GitHub has been a major staple in the Open Source scene
for so many years... run by Users for Users, Programmers,
and Developers.
I don't know what else to think of this acquisition; so then,
we'll just have to wait and see what becomes of this.
Hopefully this move won't change anything for worse.

RIP GitHub. Hopefully someone makes a solid backup of the site elsewhere before microsoft makes it little more than a collection of excel scripts.
