I'm using ss-enigma v4 but it doesn't matter which you use because mgcamd can be used on all dbox images.
I confirm this working in Dublin too on Commando5. Couldn't get it to work on lakys sylas (or whatever it's called) coz I couldn't set it to MGCAMD. Channels are slow to come in. Is this a side effect of N2? Example; I change from BBC1 to BBC2 and it takes about 10 seconds before BBC2 appears on screen.
Quote from another forum Code: If anybody is having problems with this fix,being slow to clear some of the channels still streaming the N1 stream,then just FTP this file into var/keys and change this part of mg_cfg file to read {07} instead of {00} # reread files, summ of: # 00 No (default) # 01 reread config file on channel change (including priority and ignore, but not replace/cache) # 02 reread SoftCam.Key on channel change # 04 reread SoftCam.Key if file changed R: { 07 }
Upload priority.list to var/keys and reboot the box. The other files are the same than in the other package. http://dvb-upload.com/pliki/2009-07-01/N2_Ireland_dbox_fix2.zip
hi i downloaded new fix ftp them into var/bin/keys successfully scaned the box picked up no new stations can you explain how to do this Don't forget to set mgcamd as default and run it instead of evocamd.i think that's what holding me back thanks
It works for some channels such as Dave & Bravo but others still take 10 seconds such as SKY1 & Bravo+1. I'm using Commando5 but I'll try another image.
mgb17 much appreciation for your effort and all good vibes being sent your way! I'm on Commando11(the end) atm and the delay is gone but the image has a few bugs in it. The cam has to be reset after reboot and a couple of little bugs so I'm going back to C5 for now.
I'm on Commando 9.25. Trying to overwrite mgcamd in /bin but get a "delete operation failed". Keys went over fine. Any ideas?
Cant copy any file into that dir, even a new file. Backed up image and transferred it to pc. Then viewed it. Theres nothing in the /bin file. Weird. Think I need to try a different image. Downloaded the Laky one and viewed it. It has a structure mentioned in this thread. anyone know user/pass combo for this image?
On the Laky image now. Copied all files over, and set mgcamd to default. Now a scan wont find anything. Stuck on UK. Changed to dublin via set my location and rebooted, but still no joy. Any ideas?
i flashed a new blade quad image and ftp the 3 files rescaned and got them back all working great again thanks to everyone who put the time and effort to sort this out
Anyone got any nice bouquet and service xml files for Dublin? Also - I'm new to the Dbox - what's the best image to use? Currently using Commando 9.25, but not sure whether to upgrade? Thanks to whoever did this update by the way all working great from me!
tomed, see you are on Commando 9.25. Did you manage to get the n2 fix working on this image? Where did you put the mgcamd file?
Thanks a million! Worked first time, didn't even have to reboot, just restarted neutrino. I am on blade quad.
Hi Garlad Yep I got it working without any issues. Because I'm a complete n00b, I went the long way because I couldn't figure out how to scan for channels (until this morning!). So I installed the NThell Virgin image from Eamos library - downloaded the bouquets and services xml files and then put on the commando image. I got the commando image from eamos library too. There were no cams on this as far as I could see. So I ftp'ed the mgcamd to the /var/bin folder - chmoded the file to 755. Uploaded the other 2 files (softcam.key etc) to the /var/keys folder. On the remote, pressed the blue button, went to tuxcommander and selected mgcamd from the list and executed - saved and it worked straight away! Hope this helps!
thanks tomed. I had commando 9.25 on mine. created the /var/bin folder (did not exist before) and put the mgcamd file there. Put the other files in crorect location, but it didnt work for me. I couldnt find any cams in the image except for the /bin folder, which doesnt seem to exist in the image file, but its there on the box when you ftp. And you cant write to this folder. I'll have another go tonight.
