I was recently reaching over a deep hot tub, when my V800 fell out my top pocket and sank to the bottom of the tub. (about 3 feet deep)
Quickly taking it out and opening the flip, the usual signs of death were apparent when the screen started to fade.
I quickly opened the back and took out the battery and blew as hard as I could all over.
Then left it on the side for 24 hours.
Unbelievably it now works as good as before.
Everyone I've spoken to has never heard of a dunked phone ever working again.
Am I alone or has anyone else had this lucky escape.

Never heard of that. My mate dropped his Samsung D500 into water for about 1 sec and it has never worked since. The phone was dismantled and put into a fan-assisted incubator at 25oC for a week...was totally dry but still useless.

    :)
