The two leading telcos in the Philippines (SMART & GLOBE) are now offering the affordable LG KU250 3G phone for their post-paid and pre-paid subscribers. Some of my colleagues have availed of these SIM-locked phones and would like to know if these can be unlocked using a code similar to the pre-BB5 models of Nokia or whether a special software/cable is required to unlock the KU250. Hi, Check out this thread http://www.ubergizmo.com/15/archives/2007/02/lg_ku250_the_3g_ambassador.html where there is a reference to having a Globe-locked LG-KU250 open-lined at SM North Edsa Cyberzone. I plan to get the LG as part of the Globe Loyalty plan for post-paid subscribers come November this year but I plan to use the LG for GPRS using my SMART pre-paid SIM. HTH.
