Hello Everyone Longtime since i posted but now i need help or advice on a new video card

I have System i built few months back:

    Intel Pentium D 820 2.8ghz [Stock]
Artic Freezer Pro 7 [5 stars]
    Asrock 4coreDual VSTA [BIOS 2.80]
    1gb DDR400 PC3200 [Stock]
AGP XFX 6800XT DDR3 256MB [now dead need replacement]
    250GB Seagate Barracuda HDD IDE
    XP PRO

For a VGA card replacement i would like to go to express becase agp is now very limited. but I dont know which card is compatible with my board.
Has anyone got the same board as me and using PCIE let me know what card and if they are having any problems

I would like to get a X1950XTX for a replacment or 8600GT as they are very good cards

An X1950XT-X will butcher an 8600GT.

8600GT is about the same as a 7600GT, which is beaten by the 7800GT, 7900GS, 7900GT and 7900GTX. The X1950XT-X beats all of those!

That said, an 8800GTS is faster still, and probably cheaper than the X1950.

Kool looks more like x1950 is a more competive card although it is pricey i have seen a x1950pro for less the £100 may go with that or just wait for a price drop.

Just bear in mind the X1950Pro is a lot slower than an X1950XT-X, about half the speed in fact.
However, it is still better than an 8600GT.
