i have had sim city 4 for a long time now but only recently did i get the rush hour expansion from a friend.
i installed it and when it finished a message popped up that said something about the graphic rules. i replaced the file with the original one from my sim city 4 and from then on the message never apeared again. the problem is that when i play the game i cannot see any text and the 'my sim contoler' or whatever it is called, cant shut down and crashes when i press 'get out of region'.
yet again i tried replacing some of the dat files from my sc4 but found that it haddent worked.
please i dont know what to do i searched everywhere but i cant find an answer.
    please please please help me!!!

I can only offer you Generic Help, uninstall everything to do with SimCity4. Restart your system. Download the latest DirectX for your PC. Download your latest Graphics Card drivers. Then re-install Simcity4, and see what happens. Let me know.

    And welcome to aD!

You could also try to run it in combatibility mode for an older version of Windows, say 98. Right click the shortcut and go to compatability and check run this in Compatability Mode and select 98! I had to do this for an older game I installed last week that would launch but would kick me right back to the desktop after opening it. Hope it works
