de-macrovision?

    anyone care to inform a nub what this is? should it be used while ripping my dvds?

    Simply it means to take out the macrovision dvd anticopy protection encryption.

    Macrovison protection is only to protect against dvd to vcr copies.I dont think anyone does that anymore, so it really dont matter.

    more specifically, i think a sector is 2048 bytes(on an optical disk).

    hey endo, know how many inches are in 35'? in roman numerals, its cdxx.
