Help! My router's IP address is 192.168.254.254. I cannot access the router management interface on my browser for some reason I don't know. I used to access it using the address above. I tried to reset the router twice but it did not work. The network is still password-protected and the internet is still working. I only need to access the router management interface so I can make the necessary adjustments. Anyone who can help will be greatly appreciated.
Apparently, that was the one that I have worked on since the tech guy installed my internet. I tried the IPs you mentioned. They too doesn't work. It still timed out.
It's not set. Everything is set to automatic. I am using this connection right now. And I don't think it has something to do with those settings since I can go online. I am just stumped right now. The only security I have is the password behind my network to which my internet connection is protected.
Oh... sorry for the mistake. I ran ipconfig on my command prompt and YES, the default gateway is set to 192.168.254.254 which is the IP of my router.
If there is one thing in the world that has bad customer service on where I am at right now, it's Siemens. I even have a difficult time looking for support on their website.
Have you restarted your PC since the issue, and is your IP address manually assigned? Is there any other hardware on your network? (Other routers/hubs, other PCs, laptops etc)
Will try to restart PC after this post. My IP address is assigned automatically upon logging to the network. Only my machine is currently connected. No other device is connected.
Would it be possible that someone tampered with the settings? If so, which part of the management interface did it compromised?
