    Would the Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L be better than a DFI Blood Iron id i am building an Intel bases rig

    Stick with Gigabyte, they're easy to work with, have excellent reviews and decent tech support.

    dfi is a good board but it could take you weeks playing with all the settings in the bios to get the same oc the ds3 will give you in a couple of hours.

    After installing my P35-DS3R, very similar - I had my massive 75% overclock up and running in literally minutes.
