Hi, ive just purchased race driver grid, problem is it only supports shader 3.0, ive got a x850 xtpe, a very good card but hasnt got shader 3.0 support, i did upgrade at one point to a nvidia 8800gs but had all sorts of problems, random crashes etc..etc, wasted money on new power supply, then found out loads of people were having same problems, i run vista 32bit by the way. so went back to my x850 and happy with it apart from compatability issues with shader 3.0, my dilema is this, is there a way round this 3.0 problem or do i need a new card, and what card do you guys recomend, would prefer to stick with ati(amd). thanks, matt

I know two other people who use an 8800GS without incident (both use the Asus version) so I don't know what's going on there. If you can afford one though, I would recommend the new Radeon HD4850, an exceptionally fast card.

mine was a palit, quite a few issues with drivers etc..etc..
google it, loads going on, maybe it was just palits cards, im looking for that middle ground between money( i aint got much) and performance, something along the lines of x850 performance but with 3.0 shader support, im itching to play grid. :)

what about an HD2600XT? They're outrageously cheap, in the US at least.
