    Hi guys

I have an HP Deskjet F4280 and installed the CD it came with.

However, my laptop doesn't seem to recognize it. I just hear the "bing bong" alert that a USB has been inserted, but when I try to run the HP program, it says: "no HP products are detected". SO I AM LOST!!!

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium 32-Bit.

If someone can help me out I would really appreciate it!

    Thanks

Hey ddp thanks for the reply

I got it to work finally. I read the instruction manual and it said that you shouldn't connect the printer before the installation of the actual program is complete, otherwise some problems may arise.

The solution: uninstall the program, plug out the USB, turn off printer for 10 mins, restart computer, re-install CD and THEN insert USB for printer.

    thanks!

no problem. should always do a R.T.F.M.D. when setting up something for the computer.
