I just got my LG Shine and I looked everywhere to get a better ringtone, my own. Here is the catch, you can transfer from your comp to your phone a 300kb or less song mp3 file but you dont have the option to set it as a ringtone. I tried pasting it into another named file folder and cut and pasting the song to headset and i tried cut and pasting it to the sd card, still i cant set the song to a ringtone, i hate paying rogers for ringers when i want other ones....pleae anyone help in detail what to do
ok, i could be wrong, but my LG vantage is based off of the LG shine, so it might be the same. First (and i dunno why they did this), you can only set videos as ring tones, not just plain audios. So find a software on the internet (sry, i dunno one, so i can't suggest) that will let you put a picture or something on top of your song to make it a video. Then once you do that, put it on your phone, and when selecting your song, go to the sound and touch option, then select photo album and find your song somewhere in there. Hope this helps.
