I have a Sony DCR-TRV20 and am having trouble with capturing the output to my computer. Video is captured just fine, but I have no audio. I am using a firewire cable. Cyberlink PowerDirector (also tried Windows Movie Maker...same issue).

I think I have tried every combination of audio settings on the camcorder. Anybody heard of known issues with this camcorder?

That has happened to me before with sony vegas as my capture program, what happened was the capture screen box was on pause not play so I still got the video but no audio, it kept switching to pause every time I tried to capture, I uninstalled and reinstalled and everything has been fine since. I doubt that is your problem but you never know.

Download and use WinDV. (not WINDVD), It is free and great and easy to use.
