    Hey everyone, just got a few AC3 audio questions. Really appreciate any advice;

    Is it a good idea to use DVD2AVI for demuxing to AC3? A few experiments that I've done indicate delay.

    Also do options like 'Dolby surround downmix' matter when demuxing?

    Oh and one final AC3 question. If I've got stored VOB files on my hard drive, can I access them with DVD decrypter rather than from a disc?

    DVD Decrypter works on DVD's or iso's mounted on a virtual Drive.

    Demuxing infers that the video and audio are saved as separate, elementary streams - whatever characteristics the audio has on the disk is still there after demuxing.

    If by 'delay' you mean that when converting from DVD to AVI there is a sync problem, try using AGK to converted the ripped files to AVI.

    Wrong forums again.
    You'll be better off in the Audio or DVD-Video forums.
