hi just posting this to see if anyone hates this laptop like i do..!! my girlfriend has one and i think its the worst piece of crap i have ever come across.. from the day she got it i honestly thought it had a fault- it ran so slow i couldnt believe it but she refused to bring it back..i will give an example of how annoying this machine is- if i started it up now i would not be able to use a program or access the internet for atleast an hour after turning it on and thats no exaggeration and when it do come on with little access you can be sure to get "not responding" on most programs which lasts for about another 20 minutes(it will work then stop again and again etc.) once thats all out of the way it works ok but still can go crazy every now and then.. has anyone experienced this as this has put me off acer for life..

ran into that problem with a dell, slow as molasses. told customer to get more ram & is now running 2gigs. have to remember that onboard video on both laptops & desktops eat into ram which causes memory hog os's like vista to be slow.

It probably came with a ton of bloatware installed...so everything has to run from the swap file on a slow laptop hard drive.
