I have a home network set up between my two computers through a router. The network works fine as far as i can tell. I have a Lexmark x5690 all-in-one printer hooked through usb up to the host computer and there is no problems using it through the host. However I can not get it to work on the other computer. Both computers are windows xp and both have the printer's drivers installed. It did work for about and hour and then mysteriously stopped working.

I am a new user so any advice about posting this thread would be equally appreciated as help about the printer.

I still don't know what the problem is but it seems that by waiting long enough it solves itself. I guess a really slow boot maybe.

I simply left the other computer on for about 20-30 mins after each restart, without doing anything to it and then everything works fine. I still can't use the scanner functions through the other computer, but I'm pretty sure that's because my printer doesn't support network scanning.
