I have downloaded a movie. RAR converts to AVI. Plays great on computer. Converted it to dvd with win avi 9 and avi dvd burner and with both the closed caption is on the dvd formate file with no way to disable it that I have found. The dvd file on the computer is the same as the dvd disk. every thing someone says appears on the botton of the screen. Anoying! How can I get rid of the cc. Thanks

It's most likely hard coded into the avi in which case, you cannot remove it.

With avidemux you can use the delogo filter to blur the subtitles into the background. You just have to figure which will be more annoying the subtitles or the blurring. That's a way of removing the hardcoded subtitles, I've done it before.

Just to be clear. The avi picture is free from CC. CC only apears after it has been converted to DVD format.

Not sure how win avi 9 works.
Try using AVStoDVD or DVD Flick.
