    Hi all, I've got a slightly older Gigabyte motherboard, and I've just bought a new front panel usb/card reader/audio in/out bay.

    I'm having trouble understanding the pinouts for it.

    I've got a Gigabyte GA-MA69G-S3H mobo, and the pinouts are as follows:

    HD:

    1 MIC2_L
    2 GND
    3 MIC2_R
    4 -ACZ_DET
    5 LINE2_R
    6 FSENSE1
    7 FAUDIO_JD
    8 No Pin
    9 LINE2_L
    10 FSENSE2

    The pinouts on the front panel connecter are labelled as:

    MIC-R
    MIC-L
    FRONT-R
    FRONT-L
    REAR-R
    REAR-L
    GND
    BASS
    CENTER

    Aside from the obvious no pin... where do all the rest go?

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    MIC2_L = MIC-L
    GND = GND
    MIC2_R = MIC-R
    LINE2_R = FRONT-R
    LINE2_L = FRONT-L

    REAR-R, REAR-L, BASS, and CENTER will all have to connect by some other connector...either some other header on the mainboard, or through the 3.5mm jacks at the back of the system. Either that, or just leave them disconnected; most people don't use 5.1 front outputs.
