I hope this is the category: Hey and thanks in advance, it has been a very frustrating night for me. I'm trying to get premier 6 to work on my laptop and have had major trouble. I have a Pentium 4 3.06 Ghz. 60 GB (more than half empty) with a 512MB Ram, I'm not sure of my video card, I know I have n´Vidia, but not sure if that is a video card. I constantly defrag and have everything else off ie. antivirus, screensaver etc. Is my system good enough? the clips (2) I tried to capture were only about 13 seconds long. I also didn't have my camera's LCD on so I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. A while ago I did some family stuff, 2 dvds in total all stored on the same system using Windows Movie Maker and had no problems, no freeze up at all. With premier, the whole image is just skipping, after so much frustration, I tried WMM again, the image is so-so, but no audio!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm going to bed and try tomorrow. Again thanks for any help and if anyone knows of any good Premier tutorials (granted I don't stomp my laptop into oblivion if this keeps up) online please name them, also for WMM. Thanks! sorry to say you may have premier hd which converts video into the hdtv format which im sorry to say doesn't work on laptops
John, I hope not, but also don't think so. I used this same program on a PC before and it worked fine. thanks
