Flashed using a link off a toolbar a 4-10-2008 ver 1 (original file. Got the dreaded big 0 and box would not go on standby or allow another flash. Was about to start soldering new capacitors etc... Found a neat trick on another forum. Just kept ordering the GT rom down loader to download and at varying times kept turning on the box from the rear. When the 0 would appear the flash would fail. Eventually i got the moving green bar across the box display and the download was successful. Box goes on standby and i can flash whatever i like.
Well done and pleased for you, it is what you call the bad flash method of recovery, and it is good of you to let people know that it does work, it needs a fair bit of patience (can take in excess of 20 try's some have succeeded first go), well done with your endeavour, good luck.
