.000 Files & Burning

Hello. I´ve been burning XBOX360 backups for almost a year and a half and always done great. For me its pretty simple since i dont use the xbox live so I dont need stealh firware neither ss files.
Some new games that I´ve downloaded recently show me a .000 file with the .dvd file instead of the .iso file and the .dvd file.
I´ve tried to burn the .000 like I burned .iso files with cloneCD.
However this time, the writing on the media failed!
Has something changed on the way xbox360 backups are burned with these new files? If so what then? Thank You in advance.

P.s. - I´ve always used and still use Verbatim media, Quality First!
