1.5 update help

so i had a custom firmware on my psp for a while and i wanted to go back to official sony updates so i got it back to 1.50 but it wont update from there. its either says the update data is not applicable or some other message. Any Ideas?

Updating from psp's xmb menu is a one way path up.

If you want to go to 1.50 you will need either recovery flasher or pandora.

 

Ok zulo doesn't get it, but why would you want to go back to official anyway? Everything's worse :/

But it's due to the fact that newer firmwares can only install if you already have a certain firmware. In other words, you have to install in increments, though i can't remember which path you have to take any more - It's been a couple of years.

Try installing 2.71, then 3.50, and so on, those two seem to pop into my head, though i might be wrong

i got it to 3.00 but 3.50 didnt work. does any one know the exact order? i dont want to sit here and update it one by one.

 

If you've got it up to 3.00 then I don't think Sony'll suspect anything - I know someone that's still on 2.71 official
