I turned on my PS3 to watch a movie and noticed that I wasn't signed into the PSN. I go to see if there's a system update available and there was. I went ahead with it, hoping to see what they're giving us this time, and while they usually offer a brief synopsis of what's included with this update, I didn't see any such screens. I've gone to the playstation website and they don't have it listed yet. IGN doesn't have it listed either. Anyone else do this update yet? Notice anything different? As of right now, Wednesday, June 27, 11:49 PM EST, I don't see the update listed anywhere.
I roamed the forums at PS.com and those who did it said there's nothing big about this update--so I guess I'm not losing my mind lol. Oh well. People are still salivating over the idea of the 2.0 upgrade: http://gamers-creed.com/?p=147
http://blog.us.playstation.com/2007/06/26/firmware-182-coming-soon/ it's only an update that adds a couple more audio formats, and maybe more ps2 BC for euro consoles. you can tell it's nothing big because its only a one hundredths update. i.e. from 1.81 to 1.82
Yeah once it goes to 1.90 or 2.0, hopfully something like a themes option or im also hoping they add the date in time to the top right of the screen.
It was just weird that when I was updating, I didn't see any specifics from sony or anywhere else. I guess we're all expecting the big one.
