1 or 2x out of 10, my DVD won't play

    So I download a torrent, avi file, and convert it to a DVD file with winAVI. 85% of the time it plays back in my DVD player and sometimes they do not? Why? What can I do? Please.

    Always works fine on my computer though.

    don't multitask cheep media,burning to fast, you might give convertxtodvd a try

    It is weird. I did 2 avi files on Saturday, one was fine in the dvd player, the other would not play.

    Use Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, or Sony blank media.

    Keep the burn speed at half the rated speed of the disc.

    Use either -R's or booktype +R's to DVD-ROM.

    Thanks! So this is not a complicated issue I am messing up like missing codecs or something?
