Well heres the deal. I own a BenQ 1625. After about four weeks of using it literally just fried. Now i never tampered with it or anything. The manufacters date says August 2005. For some reason benq or i/o magic are refusing to take the drive without a reciept or the original box it came in. Regardless, this thing is still under a one year warranty from the day it was manufactured. im so confused!

Lots of luck! I've got a benq that died after two weeks with a birthdate of Aug 2004. Took 2 months for reply and rma. Then a month later said it would be $50.00 to send me a replacement. It was sent back to me and I keep it as a reminder of why not to buy off the wall. The retailer I bought it from told me it had to go back to Benq and quite a few failures on ones they sold. I did disect it and it has a little spring that pops off the arm.Good luck and I hope you win with them.
