what setting would be a better pic 1080i or 540p? my tv only goes up to 540p and 1080i. how do you adjust the setting on the ps3?
By far, the 1080i would provide better picture quality. The progressive and interlaced only make a significant difference when comparing it within the same resolution range. Simply: 480i<480p<540i<540p<720i<720p<1080i<1080p [EDIT: Forgot to answer the second part of the question.] There are two ways to set your PS3's visual settings. -The easiest way is to hold the power button on your PS3 down for five seconds and it will automatically adjust. -The more time consuming way is to use the PS3's XMB (Menu) by going to settings and then Visual Settings. From here, it's pretty simple to just choose which cables you are using and what resolution you want. Hope this helps
