Hey. I have a 1080p mkv file. In the filename x264 is mentioned so i would guess its a x264 codec i need. I have coreavc codec installed and then try to play the movie in all the players i have on my computer.

The problem is the sound is fine but the video is in slow motion. BAD really slow slowmotion.

I can without any problems play a mp4 720p file. I havent tried a 720p MKV file yet. But have any of you the answer to this problem ?

(sorry if theres some bad english, im from denmark)

Now ive just tried the same release just in 720p but still a MKV file. It works way better but when i maximize the window to play it full screen sometimes there is a lag where the frame freezes and then the movie plays fine in a while and it happens again.

    How can that be ?

It takes more processing power (cpu) to play 1080 Vs. the 720.

Open up the task manager processes tab and recreate the test.

Does the cpu for the media player approach 100% ?
