Hello, I have two xboxes. one is a hard mod (chipped) xbox with a 120gb hard drive, and the other is a soft mod xbox. They both have the EvoX dash.

The chipped one broke, so now I need to know if I can use the 120 gb hard drive in the softmodded xbox without doing any weird stuff with my pc.

Someone correct me if i'm wrong but you would need to copy over your eeprom file from the busted box into the hard drive going into it

i think what you are thinking is that i am putting a new hd into the busted box. that is not the case. i am putting the big hd from the busted box into the softmodded box

also, are xbox hard drives formatted in any special way, or are they just normal NTFS/FAT/FAT32?

Yeah, i am not fully sure sinc the hard drive is coming from the hard modded box. But i know with softmodded you still need that matching eeprom file for the xbox that the drive will be in.

Also the dries are formatted in FatX i believe it's called

wow i'm suprised i didn't see this one.

Can you remember if your hard drive was locked? If it's unlocked you can use xplorer360 to modify files on your 120gig drive. You would have to modify the C: to boot a modded dash and then lock the drive with the eeprom in the xbox you intend to use.

    It's fairly simple.

If you have any quetions send me a pm and i'll walk you through it.
