You would need to get your eeprom off your xbox using "EvoX" or "Config Magic" and once you get the new drive you just need to lock it using your eeprom with a tool like "xboxhdm".

actually u cant. there is a hdd key to the hd. this was the same problem that i had. i thought that emthod would work but it didnt work. the only solution is to get a mod chip. if u knew ur hdd key then problem could have bee fixed but its really hard to do it on a softmod.

Sorry NwbSpank, but no, the hard drive key is generated using your xbox-specific eeprom. So... asuming the guy you are buying the hard drive from unlocked the hard drive after loading it with apps, all you would need to do is relock it with your eeprom. I guarantee this works, I have done it before and I know what I'm talking about.

NwbSpank, not trying to pi$$ you off, just correcting you. No offense.
