Last night I backed up a copy of ultraviolet. now when i did it the first time i used both AEC settings of deep analysis and default sharp setting. I burned it at 16x and it took 40 mins? Is this normal because of the AEC settings?

If the whole process(transcoding+burning) took 40 minutes then that is fine.

But if the burning only took 40 min then your DVDWriter could be in PIO mode instead of DMA.

Just a little added advice burn at a slower speed, you will have less chance of errors occuring ;)

Go into device manager and click on IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers, your HDD should be the primary IDE channel just double click on it and it will be under advanced settings.

Or if you have nero use nero info tool, or you can download nero info tool from here http://www.cdspeed2000.com/go.php3?link=download.html
