No. Avoid 16x media with the PS2. It causes a lot of people problems with PS2 backups, even quality media like Verbatim. If you can only find 16x media, go with Taiyo Yuden's. I have very limited experience with 16x media, but the couple TYG03's I burned do work. I would still recommend you buy some quality 8x Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim media online. If you can only get 16x media where you are, look for Sony 16x DVD-R's with an octogonal spacer (piece of styrofoam) on top of the 50 spindle. Also make sure it says Made in Japan on the label. Those should work, but I can't guarantee it. Again look for quality 8x media, if you can't find any, then pick up some 16x Taiyo Yuden's under the Sony label.

I just picked up a pack of 100 HP dvd+r's 8x at staples for $30 originally $70. They said they would take em back if I said I didn't like the playing quality lol. But they work awesome. I took a burned iso that worked slow from my old dvds that didnt really work. Now they work.

Yeah man, weird huh? You know how anal I am, I sat there and played with that link for 10 mins and couldn't get it right. It's definitely something with their scripting or something, no other links I use do that. Thanks for the welcome back man, much appreciated.
