Hi All, I have been given a virgin 360 it has a dashboard of 2.0.13604.0 and lite on 74850c. I read that 3.0 is due out on Saturday but, my question is what is the best way to mod this xbox? The console has never been on live and never will be! do I need to update to play the new type of games? will LT3.0 allow me to keep the dash as is and play new games/ Torry
Yes, the "newest" games always require one of the 2 latest dashboards. Some newer games will run on 13604 but I suggest updating to the latest (14699) which will flash your drive from a 74850 to a 0250c (if it's not already a 0250c). Then flash the "LTPlus-025-v2.0" firmware to it. But come Saturday be ready to re-flash to LT+3.0, or just wait til Saturday to avoid flashing twice.
