I just bought an HDD enclosure, was quite expensive. I bought it because I have about five 2.5" HDD's with data on them that I need. The thing is when I try to get the data off them i cant because none of the drives will show up in my computer. It sort of freezes when I try to go into disk management. The drive is showing up in device manager however. Its not a problem with the drivers because it installed them when I first plugged it in..The HDDs were doing the same thing with the other enclosure i have also so it cant be the enclosure... I was thinking it has got to be something to do with windows being installed on the drives as i cant think of anything else...please help.
Unfortunately, it sounds like the drives may have to be formatted. I had the same problem with a Seagate internal drive earlier. Hope I'm wrong :\
