Hi I got 2 eurovox boxes for x-mas 1 for me and 1 for my brother.When I try flash 1 box it says err half way through and the flash wont go on to it . The other box no power lights will go on at all I was hopeing to have them up and running for x-mas but I couldnt do it . Are the boxes wrecked or can they be fixed if so how any help is very much appreciated THANKS
Go to the link marked Eurovox at the bottom of my post, to identify what type EVs you have got (You don't actually state which), and to get the correct Firmware, and also ensure that you have the correct NULL MODEM lead. As regards the one that shows no power, then send it back, why bother with the headache, it's under warranty.
Thanks for replying the boxes are ev max V2008 . The cables I've got are correct as I had a replay lite b4 and used the exact cables (rs232 to a USB ) to flash it . The firmware I used on the EV I is correct as I used it for my neighbours ev max 2008 last week and worked fine . My computer crashed when I was flashing the box that reads err and its sayin that ever since.
Disconnect the box from power and try pressing Download on the UFL, and then apply the power back to the EV after a few seconds, give it a couple of goes, it seems that your PC crash has caused a bad flash. If all else fails you could send them both back for replace ment, and say nothing. (There is a re-set button inside that might work and do the job, but you would void the warranty, so personally the 2 would go back as far a I am concerned)
