Quick answer is no. It doesn't do any harm to leave the box connected though, especially if you are using it one room, and the eurovox in another. The box will talk back to the CC, and the eurovox won't, so it won't be detected, but the CC will see their box. It's more important to leave it connected if you have suddenly switched from a high priced package to a lower priced package, or they might wonder what you are up to.
