Hi, I have a copy of Empire Earth 2. They are put into two folders: Labeled CD1 and CD2. Both have 1 BIN file and 1 CUE file. I have made a CD image for CD1 and an image for CD2.

I am supposed to burn these images to 2 CDs which will probably install and play like any PC game that has 2 discs. But before I burn them, I wanted to simulate them with Daemon Tools.

How do I simulate them to work together as if they were not 2 different entities?

mount the .bin files to daemon tools virtual drive and thats all, from there you can install the game aswell as browse the cd.

    Excellent game BTW.

Thanx, I'll give it a try.

I still have to make them into image files to burn, right?

Also, is there any advantage or disadvantage to installing it without CDs?

    Thanks again.

BTW: The BIN files are both about 750mb, making it impossible to burn to any normal CD. Any ideas (cheap ones). I know there are 800mb CDs, but is there a way without spending?

no, as the .bin is the image (data) file.

If you have nero then all you have to do is load the .cue file and burn.

advantage is you don't need to waste cd-r and you can install with out wasting time in burning.

My suggestion would be to mount CD1 and CD2 .bin files to daemon tools and install both discs, then browse cd1 for a "certain file"

So the only time I need to make the BIN into a CD image is when I burn it with Nero. Why was a hearing crap from somewhere about making an image as the only way to use the program?

Ok, extract your .bin and .cue file to your desktop,it's a whole lot easier, if you want to fiscally burn the image (which is the .bin) to a cd-r then your going to have to open up nero-->nero express--> then select Disc Image and select your desktop and you should see your files (which are named rld-ee2a and rld-ee2a.cue...don't ask how I know) and if you don't see them select All Files (*.*) from the drop down box and you will see them now.

Select the rld-ee2a.cue file and off you burn.

Now if you want to install or browse the game with out burning them to a cd-r, download and install daemon tools, from there (since you have already extracted the rld-ee2a and rld-ee2a.cue file to your desktop) you will see daemon tools in the bottom right hand next to your clock, right click on the lightning bolt icon and select virtual CD/DVD-ROM and move your cursor over to mount image, select your desktop again/ find your image (rld-ee2a) and it will mount and show the your game as ready to be installed.

    Again, browse/explore cd1 for a special folder

Ok, u said too much. In fact, I had already installed the game (i think) by the time you posted.

However, when i tried to play it by clicking on EE2.exe, it said the wrong disc was inserted. I, of course, don't have a disc and don't plan to get one until i can find the rare, but needed 800mb ones. What should i do to make it think it's reading the right disc?
