Setup ftp using flashfxp And By Creating a new network Place in XP and using ftp://xbox@192.168.1.5/

    Question 1

When transfering files from my pc to my xbox using either flashfxp or my networking places I recevie errors ( a network cable is unplugged )
and then ( network connected ) throughout the transfer in my taskbar local area network icon)
However even though this happens it still transfers successfully

Can anyone help me on this?

    Question 2

How do i setup windows media center on my xbox to play movies which are on my pc via crossver cable network?

    Softmod

I Successfully Managed to softmod my brothers xbox today
    using
    x1 Splinter Cell Pal
    x1 modded xbox
    x1 unmodded xbox
x1 official 8mb xbox memory card
Software used SID 4.5 Nknave Edition

This is how I Did it
I first downloaded SID 4.5 Nknave Edition zip file
    http://isohunt.com/download.php?mode=bt&id=8586675

    extract SID45.NK.Launcher
    extract SID45.NK.Loader.SplinterCell.PAL

    SID45.NK.Launcher Contains the folder 21585554
    NK.Loader.SplinterCell.PAL contains the folder 5553000c

Copy the folders exactly as they are 21585554 and 5553000c
onto your xbox hard drive via ftp
or if you cant ftp you can burn these onto a dvd and copy them to your xbox from the dvd

Now with the games saves on my xbox I copied them to my memory card
via autoinstaller deluxe 3's filemanager on the cd tools
by copying 1585554 and 5553000c folders onto the memory card using filemanager

With the saves now on the memory card I put the memory card
into my brothers unmodded xbox and went into msdash
and loaded the saves by selecting memory card and copied them onto the harddisk

Next I Loaded up Splinter Cell ( Original not classic version )
and hit start game , linux, selected checkpoints and
the Softmod installer dash loaded up and everything works great.

This isnt a guide or anything just hope some information i pass on can help i.e. the game save folder part i really struggled with until i realized what folders to copy.

    Autoinstaller deluxe
Softmod Installer Deluxe v4.5 Nknave Edition
    can be downloaded here

    Hi, Regarding Question 1
I deleted the gateway numbers from my nic properties
and changed gateway on my xbox to 192.168.1.4
    rebooted both pc and xbox
But still get the following messages when transfering file
local aerea connection a network cable is unplugged
    followed by this message
local area connection is now connected

Does not matter to much though as it still manages to tranfer files
because as soon as the message apears unplugged the connected message follows it.

    Thanks For Replying
