Due to the fact of slow servers and double posts I beleive that their should be a 20 sec time-
out between posts for all AfterDawners (excluding newbies:
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/253386). This is sure to calm things down
    with the servers and reduce
    double posts. Please consider this...

    Sincerly,

Maybe an option to delete a double post would be better.

I say this in a nice way, because I really like AD. These forums have been long overdo for the option to delete a message, not just edit it.

    oh... I forgot I made this :p

Well I have to agree with GrandpaBW, we are long overdue for an option to delete posts (double posts). The mods are the only ones that have the option and their hundreds of multiposts happening everyday. All AfterDawners should have the this option as well. I'm sure this would take some stress off Neph's, ddp's , darth's, etc...

multiposting (i don't mean double replies but multi-thread posting) used to be one of my pet peeves, but now it's a few seconds work to sort out; what's far more of a chore for us 'mopper-uppers' is the persistent email address posting (worse still the subtle but not subtle way of posting an email address) and blatant piracy, spam, and annoying teenagers fighting in the console threads.

i'm not objecting to letting everyone be able to delete posts, i'm just saying that double/multiposting is one of the lesser issues.

(it should still be dealt with by pouring cold beans and blancmange down the offender's back) which at least gives us some enjoyment for our trouble.

Oh I love that one. :D

On a serious note, that is a good idea (being able to delete your own posts). Those niggly double posts can occur for a variety of reasons - Server lag, slow internet, or just pure imptience - and i'd rather not have to PM a moderator like one of yourselves to come and wipe my backside for me. It saves a lot of hassle to you guys if we have full managability of our own posts.
