In order to get hold of 20 of those SSD beauties I might have to contemplate in robbing a bank. Hmmm.....
Better make it a big bank...between the drives and the raid card, your looking at $17,000. BTW...to me, this is not "the ultimate dream pc" it is just a very fast gaming-only PC, with less than 4TB of storage and no water/phase change cooling. My "Ultimate Dream PC" would be bigger than deep blue, and the CPU cooler would get within ten degrees of making Bose–Einstein condensates...and there would be petabytes of storage.
OMG... I wouldnt know what to do with this thing!!.. When you press the power button you'll be on the OS desktop before you lift your finger off the button lol.. You realize that this is a brand new car right?? Crazy... =P
Actually, since OS loading is mainly drivers, you'd barely notice the difference from one SSD, sadly.
=/ .... dang.. well I can still play EVERYTHING... probably on 6 monitors.. (how does eye infinty work anyways?)
6 monitors, one gaming surface, that's about it, no issues, no questions. Supposedly. Essentially before with two monitors, the GPU had to have enough ports, the game had to recognise two monitors being present, etc. etc. With eyefinity, plug three 30" monitors in and as far as the graphics card is concerned all you did was plug in one 73" 5120x4800 or 7680x3200 monitor.
7680x3200!! Damn.. anyways I saw a pic with 3 monitors set up vertically, How would you do that? I might get like 3 19" monitors with thin side and connect them to go with my 5850-70 that I plan to get christmas
Wooow.. thats amazing!.. but not what I meant. I saw 3 monitors set up the long ways (like if its 1920x1200 the they were 1200x1920 playing I think NFS shift) I really have to find that picture
Found it http://benchmarkreviews.com/index.p...sk=view&id=395&Itemid=72&limit=1&limitstart=3 I never knew you could do it vertically
Yeah, I remember when my mate Nick turned his 2407FPW portrait and ran Stalker at 1200x1920 - that was weird, but kind of cool
So you can do it with just one monitor too? might give it a try. The Eyeinfinity looks great vertically though.. I'd prefer it over the standard 3 monitors (for some games, not all)
Eyefinity is nothing new in itself, multi-monitor gaming worked before it existed, but eyefinity makes it a hell of a lot easier, by removing the software-side limitation on how many screens you can connect.
