I have some avi files at 25 fps that are playing too fast, the voices sound funny. I tried a few things on my own to convert them to the 23.976 standard but nothing worked. Does anyone have any tips on how I can fix these?

I don't know if you are familiar with VirtualDub and BeSweetGUI, but I have used them to convert PAL to NTSC when the audio was noticeably faster in the PAL version.
These are the notes I made for the conversion.

    VirtualDub:
    Load/drag video file into VirtualDub.
'Audio' 'Full processing' 'Compression' 'No compression'
'File' 'Save WAV' into new folder.
    Leave VirtualDub open.

    Besweet:
Load WAV and set output as MP3.
Use 'Presets' to convert from PAL to NTSC (25 to 23.976)

    VirtualDub:
    'Audio' 'Audio from other file'.
    Load new MP3 in VirtualDub.

    Select 'Video' 'Direct Stream Copy'.
Select 'Video''Select Frame rate''Change frame rate to'
Change frame rate from 25 fps to 23.976
    'File' 'Save as AVI'.

    Edited for clarity.
